Cucumber is one of the most effective ingredients to cleanse and exfoliate the face. Cucumber is great for the skin because it's a light, natural vegetable with rejuvenating vitamins. Below are two recipes.

A cucumber facial will rejuvenate your skin and keep it looking healthy and young. Using facials on a regular basis will ensure healthy skin; however, using them too much can damage the skin. Do not use a facial more than 2 to 3 times per week. Over- cleansing your face will leave it looking dry and unhealthy.

Cucumber Facial for Oily Skin

Ingredients:

  • ½ Cucumber
  • 1 Teaspoon Mint
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 Egg White

Directions:

1. Using a blender, mix all ingredients together. The skin should be left on the cucumber since it contains the most vitamins.
2. Refrigerate blended ingredients for 10 minutes.
3. Apply the mixture to your face.
4. Leave it on for 15 minutes.
5. Rinse first with warm water, followed by cool water.


Yogurt Cucumber Parsley Mask

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tablespoon Plain Yogurt
  • 1 Tablespoon Cucumber
  • 1 Tablespoon Parsley

Directions:

1. Puree the cucumber and parsley finely and mix with the yogurt until smooth.
2. Apply the mixture to your face.
3. Leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes.
4. Rinse first with warm water, followed by cool water.
